National Office Staff
Rod Bishop – National Director
Rod commenced with International Teams in December 2013 in the dual role of Chief Finance Officer and RIDE director. His role has now grown to overseeing and managing a whole range of support services within our National Office to ensure our people are well cared for on the field. He brings experience in both financial management and pastoral leadership and is passionate about using these skills to serve and encourage frontline Kingdom work. His ongoing journey in discovering how God wants us to respond to the poor and the oppressed has seen him be a part of short-term mission teams to both Thailand and Kenya, as well as continually asking what it looks like to live as a radical follower of Jesus in suburban Castle Hill. Rod is married to Abby and they have three children. They attend St Paul’s Church in Castle Hill.
Fiona Hodge – Engagement Director
Fiona has an important role at International Teams as Director Missions Engagement She has the broad responsibility of strengthening our engagement with individuals and churches plus focusing on development of our refugee ministries.
Manda Pidgeon – Member Care Coordinator
Manda’s role in the Australian office is Member Care Coordinator. From the time a person is accepted with International Teams, we want to ensure that they can thrive in ministry, wherever they serve. In collaboration with others, Manda’s role is to walk alongside and support them, through training and pre-departure preparations, time on the field, and assisting during Home Assignments and Debrief.
RIDE for Refugees
Abby Bishop – RIDE Director
Abby wants to live in a world where everyone will know the glory of our awesome God through Jesus Christ. As the director for RIDE for Refugees run by International Teams, she’s helping teams run an event in their local city that will help churches engage with issues relating to refugees. RIDE for Refugees also raises much needed funds for frontline refugee projects. She’s been on the team since the beginning of 2015 with various random appearances before that! When she’s not liaising with people for RIDE for Refugees, you can find her baking up a storm for her husband, Rod and their 3 beautiful and energetic kids. If she’s not creating some “baked goodness”, she’s creating something awesome out of wood with words from God’s Word on it.
